seeds planted at home

"What goes into the mind comes out in the life"

Although I work nearly full time, I consider myself first a mother. As a mother of 3 kids, 2 under 6, I have spent many years pouring into their lives. We all pour into the lives of our children - the critical question to ask is, WHAT are we pouring in?
It is so easy to become consumed with the busyness of day to day that we let TV or other distractions pour into their little lives, completely missing so many great opportunities.
It is when I hear my kids quote a verse or "discipline" their dolls using my words or tell someone something very mature that I realize how much they absorb. Yes, there are those times when they repeat words or actions that I wish they had never witnessed too. This is how important it is to monitor the influences to which they are exposed.
What is being poured into your child's life? What seeds are you planting in them today? Seeds of bitterness and violence? Seeds of love and forgiveness? Seeds of greed and apathy? Seeds of compassion and generosity?
Whatever you plant, be sure a big tree will grow. The fruit it bears is up to you.

Plant a Little Seed - the first sowing

My hope in starting this blog is that you, the reader would be aware of the power of a little seed.
Little seeds, when planted, tended and protected, can grow into big trees. I center my work efforts and my home life around that concept, that what you put in will come back in exponential proportions.
I hope to inspire you to plant some seeds of your own, to share your stories of the effort you put into an idea, a project, a life, and how they grew. Some stories will never have an end, some seeds we may never see grow in our lifetime - but never is the effort of planting it wasted!
Get planting today, you never know what may sprout up tomorrow.
